It’s been a while since I’ve taken part inDr. Tanya’s“Blogging Insights Series.” Notwithstanding my absence over the past few months, this topic seemed like it was a good one to jump back onto the bandwagon with.

The topic Dr. Tanya is tackling this time is “Your User Name”when blogging.

She’s given us a bit of look at it like this:

The name that you blog under is the calling card which introduces you to bloggers and readers across the globe. Some bloggers use their first name and some use their full name. Others prefer to keep their identity unknown, blogging under a cool made up name.

As such, we have three questions to ponder:

The Worst Things About Blogging


After spending a couple of years of my life blogging I’ve come to learn a lot about it.
There’s so much I love about blogging, but I also find a few things to hate at times, for a while I found that I had a love-hate relationship with blogging.

Not been able to switch off
I find it really hard to switch off, not just from blogging but in general. Once I have an idea I have to jot it down there and then, otherwise I worry about forgetting it. A lot of the time I have to remind myself that it isn’t my full time job, but I often work on my blog when I’m home from my actual job and on weekends, so it’s difficult to give my brain a break. How To Update Your Blog Content

One of the best ways to improve your blog is to update your content. What I mean by updating your content is updating your blog posts and pages, especially if you had written them a long time ago. You might be wondering what to update if you don’t really know where to start, well I’m here to help you! I personally wouldn’t recommend to update or edit a blog post if you feel happy about it. On the other hand, if you think you can improve a blog post then it’s probably time to update it!

I would recommend to check your archives and update your older blog posts as well. Old articles don’t necessarily mean that they need to be updated but your writing style might have changed or even the information you have written might need to be updated so it’s always better to check them. In…
